Luka Doncic is ready for his first full season with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he knows exactly what it means to wear the purple and gold. The Slovenian point guard worked hard on his conditioning this summer and represented his national team at EuroBasket 2025.
Doncic led Slovenia to the quarterfinals of the tournament, scoring 39 points in that game, though they fell 99-91. Now his focus shifts to the start of the NBA season, when the Lakers host the Golden State Warriors on October 21 at Crypto.com Arena.
The front office has already begun building a roster around Luka Doncic, adding Deandre Ayton, Marcus Smart, and Jake LaRavia. In an interview with Sports Central LA, Doncic stated that the new additions will help the team compete for a championship this year.
