The second stage of the RDS Open Championship will take place on May 16-17 at the Moscow Center for Technical Sports (CTVS).

The competitive weekend follows the standard schedule: Saturday, May 16, will feature qualifying runs and pair practice sessions, while Sunday, May 17, will host pair elimination rounds under a double-elimination system. A free live broadcast will be available on the RDS TV platform.

Joining the participant list is 16-year-old Anton Stroganov from Moscow, whom fans may have seen during training camps as part of the “RDS Winter Cup.” The leaders from the first stage include winner Vladimir Afanasyev (St. Petersburg, Tamashi Racing), silver medalist Anatoly Shcherbak (Moscow), and bronze medalist Vladislav Erofeev (Georgievsk, STAR PËR STARS AIMOL).

For the first time in the summer season, RDS is organizing training camps for young athletes. At the Moscow stage, participants will include Timofey Kolobov (13), Daniil Arefiev (10), and Stepan Popov (14). The program features theoretical sessions, practice runs, and training heats.

The Moscow CTVS is hosting the “second division” of RDS for the first time in five years—prior to 2021, the venue hosted RDS West stages.
