Bruno Michel, CEO of Formula 2 and Formula 3, shared insights on the difficulties of organizing the Miami round in early May, following the cancellation of races in the Middle East in April.
“We aimed to optimize all travel costs to North America, which led to the idea of races in Canada and Miami. It made perfect sense to discuss this with Miami as well: all cargo ships to America, then from Miami to Montreal by truck. It was quite simple to plan.
However, things weren’t entirely straightforward for them in Miami. It was a matter of organization. Miami immediately expressed interest, but we had no paddock, so we had to build one from scratch, quite far from the track. It was truly tough to assemble,” Michel told RacingNews365.
