Last season, Marcelo Hian moved on loan from Sagan Tosu to FC Tokyo, carrying with him a deep desire to follow in the footsteps of the greats who came before. Now, as he steps onto the pitch, he constantly reminds himself to live up to the legacy of the club’s legends. “I want to catch up to them,” he says, acknowledging the heavy responsibility that comes with wearing the jersey. But through it all, his family has been his pillar of strength. “They are always my support,” he reflects, crediting his loved ones for helping him stay grounded and focused. Their unwavering presence has given him the confidence to embrace the tradition and aim for greatness in the J.League.
