Japanese women’s volleyball national team player Airi Miyabe has parted ways with Victorina Himeji of the SV League. The Olympic representative from the 2024 Paris Games declared, “I will carry my true self forward to the next chapter.”
The club also announced the departure of four other athletes, including Thai national team standout Moksri, alongside Miyabe.
“Over the past four years as a professional, the support I received has shaped who I am today,” Miyabe expressed in a statement.
Multiple Japanese media outlets reported the simultaneous exits, highlighting Miyabe’s significant role on the national team.
While her next destination has not been disclosed, Miyabe remains focused on continuing her volleyball career with the same identity that defined her time in Himeji.
