Mikhail Fedorov, a 19-year-old forward for Metallurg, shared his thoughts on working with head coach Andrei Razin. When asked about his expectations at the start of the season regarding a full campaign with the main team, Fedorov said he focused on completing every task during training camp. “I did everything I could to the max. I never thought at the beginning of the season that I would play in the KHL playoffs,” he stated.
Discussing how Razin works with young players, Fedorov emphasized the coach’s equal standards. “It doesn’t matter if you’re young or experienced—the head coach’s demands are the same for everyone. If a player works hard and gives his best, Andrei Vladimirovich trusts him,” he explained.
Fedorov also recalled specific advice from Razin: “He told me to go on the ice and be a leader, regardless of my age. It doesn’t matter how old you are or who is in front of you. On the ice, there are no authorities. You don’t look at last names—hockey is played by people. Those are the tips he gave me. I’ve remembered them.”
